Robert Palumbo, MD
Director of Clinical Education in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
A nationally recognized Sports Medicine physician and surgeon, Dr. Palumbo specializes in sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, and hip.
Dr. Palumbo is a second-opinion physician for the NFL Players’ Association and Head Team Physician for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, a AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. He is also President and Founder of the OAA. Sports Medicine Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to medical education to sports medicine professionals.
Dr. Palumbo practiced for eight years in Orlando, Florida, where he treated many athletes and performing artists. He also served as orthopedic consultant for the world- famous Cirque de Soleil, The Orlando Ballet and has published many articles in professional journals.
He earned his MD at Rutgers Medical School and continued his education in fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine and Union Memorial Hospital-John Hopkins
