Dr. Robert Palumbo to Share Breakthrough Stem Cell Research from BioXcellerator at AMSSM 2025

Dr. Robert Palumbo will attend the 34th Annual AMSSM Meeting in Kansas City, Missouri, where he will share clinical insights and key findings from BioXcellerator’s ongoing work in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy.

As part of this year’s presentation, Dr. Palumbo will unveil new research on whole Wharton’s jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells and their therapeutic effects on knee osteoarthritis and chondromalacia patella. The research represents the latest breakthrough from BioXcellerator’s clinic in Medellín, Colombia, and highlights the significant strides our team has made in advancing joint health and recovery through regenerative therapies.

A nationally recognized Sports Medicine physician and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Palumbo specializes in treating sports-related injuries of the knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, and hip. He serves as a second-opinion physician for the NFL Players’ Association and as Head Team Physician for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. He is also the President and Founder of OAA’s Sports Medicine Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing education in sports medicine.

His career spans decades of treating elite athletes and performers—including Cirque du Soleil, Disney World entertainers, SeaWorld performers, and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. He also plays a key role in the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, helping retired NFL players in need.
