Can You Increase Stem Cells Naturally?

Our bodies are comprised of millions upon millions of cells. We all know this. We also know cells split to grow or replace damaged cells.

However, the intricacies of how our bodies accomplish these amazing feats is not necessarily widespread.

So, what are stem cells?

Stem cells are master cells. They are the cells that can morph into another type of cell if there’s damage. Our bodies are full of them. They’re found everywhere, in our bone marrow, in our blood, and even in our skin tissue.

However, if you want to enhance your body’s ability to recover, you’ll want to look into stem cell therapy.

Stem cell treatments are, essentially, an injection of donated stem cells into the areas you need the most. In regenerative medicine today, this will be mostly comprised of adult cells.   • Your Age: As we get older, our body’s ability to produce stem cells is impacted. The reduction in stem cell production is considered to be one of the main reasons our ability to regenerate tissue and heal from minor issues decreases as we age.
  • Lifestyle: If you lead an unhealthy lifestyle (heavy drinking, smoking, poor diet, lack of exercise, etc), then your body will be spending more of its existing stem cells trying to repair damage caused by your lifestyle. By improving your overall lifestyle, you can support your stem cell function.
  • Medical Conditions: If you have a chronic disease or injury, particularly an autoimmune disorder, this can also impact stem cell production, as well as their ability to function properly in your system.

Can You Increase Stem Cells Naturally?

A big part of stem cell research involves how to increase stem cells naturally. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way to do this. Your body will continue to create stem cells; however increasing stem cell production is less understood.

You could, potentially, work to increase stem cells in your body by:

  • Intermittent Fasting: There are some studies that suggest that intermittent fasting (where you alternate between periods of fasting and eating) can help promote stem cell regeneration, though they are not conclusive.
  • Improving Your Diet: The body needs external sources of vitamins and nutrients in order to function at optimal levels, including producing stem cells. Improving your diet and removing hard-to-process items from your diet can help boost stem cell production as a result.
  • Exercising Regularly: At least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of your work may help promote stem cell production, differentiation, and mobilization.
  • Managing Stress: Stress negatively impacts the internal systems. By managing stress (changing jobs, yoga, mindfulness activities) you can help encourage a healthier system and improve your stem cell production.

How To Effectively Increase Stem Cell Count

A stem cell transplant is the only way to effectively boost the number of stem cells in your system. You can do this by going to our clinic to get stem cell injections, or in a hospital as part of a bone marrow transplant.

What are stem cell injections, if they’re not the same thing as a bone marrow transplant? We take our stem cells from donated umbilical cords. We then purify them, encourage them to increase in number by stimulating them, and then once again screening them before they’re finally stored in cryo.

This gives you access to pre-screened and vetted stem cells when you need them. Despite it being a very safe procedure, however, this type of stem cell treatment isn’t covered by the FDA yet. This means you’ll need to cover the stem cell therapy cost yourself.

A similar process happens if you are receiving a bone marrow or blood transplant. The difference is that in that case, you or a close family relative are typically the donors. In this instance, once again, the stem cells are extracted from the donated tissue, stimulated to increase their count, and then injected back into the body.
